About This Book
Josephine, Devi, and Mac’s story continues. Devi and Mac are falling in love, but a complication comes along in the form of Mac’s pregnant ex-wife. As for Josephine, with the excitement of unmasking the Brookside thief and Devi’s being shot now over, she’s finding Brookside Retirement Community (aka Babbling Brook) as dull as she initially expected it to be. Until, that is, she gets involved with a man who suspects her of being a criminal mastermind. Finding love at this late date is something Josephine never expected, and it’s her Edward Hopper painting that plays matchmaker.

Having read the first book in this 3-book series I couldn’t wait to get the other 2 books. The characters are well developed and the story line moves right along holding my interest.
I completely enjoyed reading both this book as well as the first book in the series… contains wonderful, well developed characters, suspenseful plotting, and an overall optimistic viewpoint toward people and life… I came away happy and satisfied to have read these delightful books. Thank you for writing them!
As an older person, I appreciate reading about older people who were real and like my friends. There is also a lovely relationship developing with both an older person and a young couple. The character development was well done, so much so that I missed them when the book was finished. There were several twists that were both fun and interesting.
There is wit and humor among the pages as well as a little mystery.
